Superbike racer satirizes MotoGP who is permissive for young inexperienced racers

World Superbike racer Scott Redding said that many young and inexperienced racers find it too easy to fight in MotoGP. According to him, it will take at least 2-3 years for them to compete first in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes.

Scott Redding is no stranger to MotoGP . He had three racing seasons, from 2014 to 2016 before deciding to move to Superbike in 2020 with the Aruba Ducati team.

The British racer is not the only one who has moved from MotoGP to Superbike or vice versa. Iker Lecuona is another example who in the 2022 season tried to compete in Superbike with Honda.

Scott Redding also expressed his opinion about the 'trend' of young drivers in MotoGP. What did he say?

It Takes At Least 2 Years in Moto3 and Moto2

Currently there are several riders who are promoted from Moto2 to MotoGP . Raul Fernandez, for example, moved up to the 'premier' class after sitting fourth in Moto3 2020 and runner-up in Moto2 last season.

Scott Redding is quite cynical about this trend. According to him, drivers should spend more time in Moto3 and Moto2 first before going to MotoGP.

"In my opinion, drivers should spend a minimum of two years in Moto3 and another two years in Moto2. Only then is it worth jumping into MotoGP," said Redding quoted from Motosan.

Boring

Of course Scott Redding has more references than just years of struggling in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes. Experience is the most important thing to compete in MotoGP.

"If in two years they fail to fill the top ranks, they will be replaced, and have to start all over again."

"As a result, the MotoGP championship has become even more boring. Especially with the power of money and pressure multiplying every year."
